Here’s a quick update on drugs dealing crime in your area, please be reassured that we’re taking this seriously and are here to help. Local Neighbourhood Policing Team officers have secured a positive outcome following joint working with the local authority to address ongoing concerns surrounding drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour at an address within the ward.
Following reports from residents regarding suspected drug use and associated anti-social behaviour, neighbourhood officers worked closely with the local authority to gather information and assess the issues affecting the local community.
As part of this partnership approach, officers and local authority representatives conducted a joint visit to the address. During the visit, concerns were addressed directly with the occupant regarding their behaviour and the impact it was having on neighbouring residents and the wider community.
As a result, the occupant was issued with a Community Protection Notice (CPN), requiring them to take steps to address the behaviour that has been causing nuisance and concern. The notice provides a clear warning that further action may be taken should the behaviour continue.
This intervention demonstrates the commitment of neighbourhood officers and partner agencies to tackling issues that matter most to local residents. By using the powers available and working closely with the local authority, agencies are able to take effective action to improve quality of life and keep communities safe.
